I have worked with Barb and Scott for 4+ years. I have gotten off 10 different medications for health conditions like high blood pressure – diabetes. I have all my numbers under control and and A1C that I don’t need to be taking any meds anymore! I have lost over 60 lbs! They have helped in recovery from a major hip surgery and torn labrum. My doctors and therapist were shocked at how fast I recovered and that I didn’t have any complications. It was 5 years ago that I was introduced to Barb through kettlebell classes at work. That introduction has had a profound, positive impact on mine and my family’s health. My husband Mike and I have trained with Scott and Barb for 10+ years. They have helped us both greatly with diet, movement, strength and so so much more! I thought I was in pretty good shape. And then I met Scott. My fitness journey has not been the same since. I’d worked with several other trainers, but none had ever really challenged me the way Scott and Barb do. No two workouts are ever the same even though you know there’s probably definitely going to be push-ups. They know each of their clients very well, which is great (but also makes it harder to cheat on your workout since they know how much you’re capable of lifting for any given exercise). I’ve also seen them work with people at all levels of fitness from those just starting out to gym junkies (like me) and tailoring each workout to the individual and their specific goals. And there is no shortage of encouragement and positivity; no workout is complete without at least one high five, low five, or side five for everyone.

I started training with Barb and Scott about 2 years ago. I was having severe knee pain, shoulder issues and wasn’t getting the results I wanted by working out on my own. Protege Fitness Studio has the 2 best trainers/owners Barb and Scott I would not go to anyone else. I started training with Barb Lass a few years ago and the first time I ever worked out with her it took about 7 min for me to have an asthma attack ( I was in terrible shape) and now I don’t think I have used my inhaler in maybe a year. I first started training with Scott and Barb when I was playing junior A hockey and they were at another gym. During that timeframe I got into probably the best shape I have ever been in my life and is currently what I’m trying to get back to.

But when I left for the season I told my dad that he ought to go work out with Scott as well. Now, during that timeframe my dad’s motivation to work out was abysmal.
